Junior Football Coaching

JUNIOR / UNDER 18s
Football Coaching for Everyone

Our football specific personal football training is designed to focus on the areas that youth players need to succeed in the modern game. We will improve their technique, flexibility, power, agility, speed with and without the ball. Build their confidence learning new and improving on skills and tricks and have some fun doing it. These sessions can be 1-2- 1, small groups(max 6) or whole teams. We can coach using Small Sided Games, Functional Practices & Phases of Play, SAQ and ball skills .Whereas a beginner has a tremendous amount of room for improvement and may be able to do it rapidly, the advanced player must expect to improve over a longer period of time.

Our coaches have worked in local schools delivering the following sessions:

  • After school clubs
  • Lunch-time clubs
  • Breakfast clubs
  • Curriculum football sessions
  • PPA multi-sport sessions in line with the national PE curriculu

We Encourage Player Input

Prior to your coaching session  we can attend one of your games and assess your /your teams performance, during the assessment we will look at you/your team on the four corners, technical, tactical, physical and social aspects. We will then discuss with you areas that we/you feel need work.

By allowing the players to become part of the goal-setting process, our coaches can make the goals more meaningful to them. The players could be asked how often they can practice either with the team or on their own, what they would consider a reasonable goal, how long it would take them to achieve their goal, etc.

The players must be taught that goals require focused, concentrated effort. Goals that require little effort can undermine the potential of their progress. It is essential to challenge the player(s), to make them feel they have worked for their success.

With the right preparation and application ALL footballers can improve their performances and get more from their football.
